Day 1 :

HARIDWAR - SONPRAYG / GUPTAKASHI

On Arrival ARailway Station Our MyTripVacations Representative will greet you and take you the wonderful vacation starting from You will reach Airport / Railway Station / Hotel. Drive towards Guptkashi. Enroute you can see the beautiful river Mandakini at Tilwara. The Mandakini river comes from Kedarnath, drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi, visit Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptakashi. Check into the hotel arrival in Guptakashi. Overnight stay at Guptakashi.

Day 2 :

KEDARNATH –SONPRAYAG-GUPTKASHI

After having Morning after breakfast, today we will go to Kedarnath. To reach Kedarnath you will have two options. One if by trekking and other is by Air via Helicopter.

Important Information: Read Carefully

By Helicopter: Morning our driver will transfer you to your Helipad location (Phata, Guptkashi, Sirsi etc) as per helicopter ticket time. Kindly inform the driver timings of helicopter mentioned on the ticket previous day.
Note: Helicopter Tickets are not included in this package.

By Trek: To reach Kedarnath by trekking route first you have to reach Gaurikund. We will drive to Sonprayag early in the morning after breakfast. Our car will drop to Sonprayag. From Sonprayag 5 kms drive to Gaurikund local jeep is available. This sharing basis jeep guests can book directly at own cost. Gaurikund to Kedarnath is further 14 Kms trek.
After reaching the Kedarnath visit Kedarnath Temple. Check in to the hotel/ashram. Visit Shankaracharya Samadhi. Overnight stay at Kedarnath. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 3 :

KEDARNATH - SONPRAYAG - GUPTKASHI

In morning you can explore nearby areas by walk at Kedarnath. Later reach Guptkashi as per your choice by trek or Helicopter.
By Trek: Inform the driver approximate return time. Once you reach Gaurikund from Kedarnath by trek you can take local jeep till Sonprayag. Our driver will meet here. Due to parking issue keep driver’s contact number with you and call him when you reach sonprayag so he can pick up you.
Gaurikund to Sonprayag local jeep at your own cost. Get packed breakfast from hotel to start early. At arrival check in to hotel in Guptkashi. Overnight stay at Guptkashi. (Meals: Dinner)

Day 4 :

GUPTKASHI-BADRINATH

After Morning after breakfast, drive to Badrinath. Check in to the hotel arrival in Badrinath. Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in evening. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan - Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sightseeing spots like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the "Mukh of the Saraswati River”. Just within the three km of Badrinath. Overnight stay at Badrinath. (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner).

Day 5 :

BADRINATH-JOSHIMATH-RUDRAPRAYAG

Morning enjoy the after breakfast, drive for Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Visit on the way Darshan of VishuPrayag, Narsingh Temple in Joshimath, KarnPrayag and NandPrayag. Check into the hotel arrival in Rudraprayag. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag. (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner).

Day 6 :

BACK TO HOME

Morning after breakfast, drive for Haridwar / Dehradun / Rishikesh. Rishikesh 'place of sages' is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga. It is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. Drop at Hotel / Airport / railway station. (Meals: Breakfast)

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will too, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay a certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, a hot water facility could be free at a lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during the offseason.

It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For the Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
