Overview
Kerala is one of the little provinces of India with regards to region. it comprises of just 1.3 percent of the complete area of India. The state is situated in the southwest corner of India. Karnataka and Tamil Nadu bound it on north, east and south and on east by the Bedouin Ocean. Physiographically, the state might be separated into three districts, High countries, Midlands and Swamps. In the middle of between the high western ghats and the Bedouin ocean, the width of the State differs from 35 km to 120 km. There are broad backwaters, tidal ponds, and coconut trees in the swamp region. The midland region are watered by various streams and where the presence of rice-fields, arecanut and coconut trees keeps on ruling the scene. The state is a place that is known for streams and backwaters. Upwards of 41 waterways which ascend from the western ghats, stream down to the midlands and marshes toward the west. There are a couple of east streaming waterways likewise, which are the feeders of the Cauvery. The length of a large portion of the streams is incredibly restricted and they are storm taken care of. A portion of the streams are Bharatapuzha, Chalakkudy, Peechi, Malampuzha, Gayatri, Walayar, Vazhani, Neyyar, Periyar, Mangalam and Cheerakuzhy.
